SMPP Access 1.3 has been released. New features in this release are as follows:
1. It is no longer necessary to specify an implementation of all types of Integrator. SMPP Access will substitute a default integrator if none of a particular type is explicitly specified in the configuration. The user guide has full details.
2. In the absence of a custom AccessController implementation, SMPP Access will now reject all BIND_* requests.
3. UnbindEventHandler added to the integrator interfaces. This makes it possible for the fact that an SMPP session has closed due to an SMPP UNBIND command having been processed, to be notified to an interested application.
4. DisconnectEventHandler added to the integrator interfaces. This makes it possible for the fact that an SMPP session has ended due to a client disconnecting at a TCP/IP level (or being forcibly disconnected by SMPP Access) instead of through the client issuing a SMPP UNBIND command, to be notified to an interested application.
5. The log message written when there is an IOException due to a client disconnecting without issuing an UNBIND first, has been downgraded from WARNING level to INFO.
India's Cosmic Information and Technology Ltd selected Selenium SMPP Access to speed their introduction of an SMPP interface to their SMS services.

Selenium SMS 2.8.0 is now available. Details of the changes in this release are documented in the Release History document.
Principal amongst the new features is Custom Logic Containers (CLCs). With CLCs you can incorporate your own, custom logic at key points within the standard message processing lifecycle. This logic is implemented in the popular scripting language Javascript, making it very easy to use. Example applications include adding further validation over and above the standard product validation of messages, augmenting message objects by deriving additional attributes, over-riding message attributes with your own standard values and performing advanced routing tasks such as message cloning or re-routing. With message cloning, you can cause a message to be duplicated and be submitted via an alternate route. With message re-routing, you can respond to a failed message submission event by re-routing the message via a different route. And you can do much more... it's a programmable feature after all, so you have maximum flexibility.
CLC scripts are managed via the Selenium CP web interface too. You can view them, validate them and upload changes, all from the same standard interface used for other Selenium SMS management functions and information.

In this release, two new SMS connectors are made available. The first allows messages to be sent via the Esendex network and the second is a highly configurable HTTP based component which allows Selenium SMS API variables to be mapped to HTTP parameters easily, using the Selenium SMS XML based parameter substitution expressions.
