Selenium CP is the web-based control panel application that lets operations staff monitor and manage Selenium MC. Click on the thumbnail below to see a full-sized image of the main page. As you will see, this page provides a range of management facilities and extensive statistical information.

Extensive technical logging is also provided and this can be configured to work at an appropriate level of detail. In addition to this, the Selenium SMS Alert Manager can be configured to proactively inform operations staff of significant events as they take place meaning there's no need to wade through log files to keep an eye on things.

You can also keep an eye on the performance that your various SMSC connections are delivering, using the Latency Graphs that are available for each connection. These show the distribution of responses times, in bands of 100 ms, experienced when sumitting messages to the connection.

Auditing is supported in Selenium SMS too. Switch on this feature and a detailed audit trail of messages sent is automatically maintained by Selenium SMS. In some businesses, this is necessary for complicance and other regulatory reasons.

And Selenium SMS is a java based, platform independent application, meaning there's no need to use anything other than your standard computing platform. Windows or Unix, the choice is yours.

Scale it...

Selenium SMS is designed both commercially and technically to scale. You can start small, buying a licence designed for low volume usage at a correspondingly low cost, and as your business grows and the need for greater power comes with it, you can simply upgrade your licence to get more throughput capability from your text messaging server. Technically, Selenium SMS can process hundreds of messages a second on relatively modest computer equipment and you can deploy multiple instances and have them run in parallel, making truly huge levels of throughput possible.
